The Name and Image

"Consus - ancient Roman god, protector of the grains. Consiva, related to 'crops' and 'seeding', Latin: conserere (to sow)".

The Consus name and logo were chosen to reflect the symbolic elements of the ancient Roman god Consus. Consus was the protector of the grains which in those times represented wealth.

The Logo

The symbol of the logo is the grain and contained (protected) at the tip is also the seed. The seed represents wealth, an idea that grows into reward. The grain represents the name Consus and its Roman origin of the protector of the grain. The husk of the grain protects the seed. The first row of florets is accentuated in red to highlight the 'C' shape and the protection it offers the seed.

Logo Colours

The colour scheme utilises three distinct colours that symbolise the elements of the business. Grey represents security, reliability and intelligence. Red represents command, energy and speed. Amber represents optimism, philosophy, and creativity. These colours are striking but work well combined without being overly flamboyant.

Logo Font

It was selected for its modern sans-serif properties as well as the contrast of curved lines and crisp edges which harmonise well with the very sharp logo geometry.

Logo Designer

The logo was designed by Kazi Design in 2010 to establish a brand image and consistency.
